Married Couple Found Unconscious on Sabari Express, Hospitalized in Hyderabad

A married man and woman were admitted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad after being found unconscious on the Sabari Express train. The incident occurred on Tuesday as the train approached Secunderabad Railway Station. Authorities suspect the pair consumed a poisonous substance in an apparent attempt to end their lives.
The individuals have been identified as Sriram Sirish Kumar, 34, from Chapra village in Andhra Pradesh, and Gulivendula Neelaveni, 34, also from Chapra village but residing in Moosapet, Hyderabad.
Discovery and Immediate Response
Railway authorities alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP) after passengers were discovered unconscious in a general coach of Train No. 20630 Sabari Express. The discovery was made around 1 p.m. as the train neared Secunderabad. A railway police constable promptly responded, and both individuals were
shifted to Gandhi Hospital via a 108 ambulance for urgent medical attention.
Investigation Underway
Preliminary investigations by the GRP revealed that Sirish Kumar is married to Sulochana and they have two sons. Further inquiry indicated that Sirish Kumar and Neelaveni had allegedly been in a relationship for the past two months. The couple had reportedly traveled to Coimbatore approximately a month ago after leaving their village.
According to police sources, Sulochana had traced them and reportedly counselled the two, persuading them to return to Hyderabad with her on the Sabari Express. However, before the train reached its destination in Secunderabad, Sirish Kumar and Neelaveni allegedly consumed a poisonous substance.
Medico-Legal Case Registered
The incident has been registered as a medico-legal case, and the Government Railway Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the event. The police are working to understand the full sequence of events that led to the couple being found unconscious on the train.
