The CJP’s action was prompted by the ceiling collapse incident at MGM Hospital. The party’s South Zone in-charge and National Media Head, Vijay Mallangi, who led the delegation, stated that the government must ensure the new hospital building is fully equipped with the required medical facilities before opening it to the public.

The party also called for an immediate comprehensive safety inspection of the existing hospital building and repairs to any structures found to be hazardous. Mr. Mallangi emphasised that patient safety in government hospitals needs to be treated as a priority and urged the government to take immediate measures to prevent similar incidents.

The CJP has also demanded an inquiry into the incident at MGM Hospital and called for better medical care for the patients who were injured.

Delegation Denied Meeting with District Collector

The CJP delegation said they attempted to meet the Warangal District Collector, who was present at the hospital when they arrived, but police personnel prevented them from meeting him. The delegation later sought to meet the hospital superintendent to obtain details about the incident.

“Police informed us that the superintendent was in Hyderabad,” the delegation said.

Mr. Mallangi said the government should prioritise resolving problems in existing government hospitals alongside the construction and inauguration of new facilities.
